Follow me on Instagram for more tips on where to eat really well in São Paulo: @eatnicely!nnOgame is a low-key Korean barbecue restaurant in Bom Retiro, further away from the almost Siamese twins that serve the delicacy so popular in Brazil. They're located on Rua Lopes Trovão, behind a locked door that we doubted would be open upon arrival. But not only is it open, but they also serve excellent Korean-style food.nnKorean barbecue, of course.nnWe chose the cuts, and I recommend starting with the galbi (R$138.00 – 400g), which is marinated Angus rib eye. The meat has excellent marbling, a tender texture, and maintains its succulence during braising. The flavor balances the sweetness of the marinade with the deep flavor of the beef, without masking it.nnEqually good, the samgyeopsal (R$73.00 – 300g) is thick-cut pork belly, unmarinated, grilled directly on the grill. It has a firm texture on the outside, with a toasted crust and melted fat on the inside, which concentrates the natural flavor of the pork. Here, the highlight is the purity of the cut, contrasting with the others.nnThe garbisal (R$77.00 – 400g) is beef bacon, a cut between the ribs, also marinated galbi style. More fibrous and with a firm chew, it brings out the intense flavor of the meat and the sweet marinade, which caramelizes slightly on the grill.nnAt the same time, the galbisal is the asado de tira, a cut of rib with an excellent balance of meat and fat. Here, it is also marinated. The texture is tender with resistance to the bite, and the flavor maintains the rib's identity, enhanced by the marinade that penetrates the fibers.nnThey're served with banchan, which is more acidic here—classic kimchi, onion, turnip, and pickled carrot—which cleanses the palate between cuts and balances the fat. White rice is served with it, and to drink, we opted for the classic and honest Lotte soju (R$45.00 per bottle).nnWorth a visit when in the area!nn#eatnicely #eatnicelyogame #eatnicelysp
